STEELCLADVULCANXLCR

The Dietz Steelclad, Vulcan, and X-L-C-R are just three of a huge variety of dead flame railroad style lanterns Dietz made during their 152 years. The performance of all these lanterns is equal and the differences are slight. Notice the XLCR (pronounced exc-el-si-or) has rubber over the bail for use around trolley (electric) equipment.

U.S.LITTLE STAR

The U.S. Brass and the Little Star don't look unusual in these photos until your realize the globe is not the common No. 0. The U.S. globe, unique to three lanterns, is junior size but fluted for a hot blast lantern. The common Junior size globe we always see has the straighter sides of a cold blast lantern. These lanterns are just 11 inches tall. Some lanterns are much BIGGER.
