Link back to Kerosene Lantern History
The Hurwood Aladdin (1907-1915) has an unusual globe lift. The Universal Metal Spinning and Stamping Company and others made the Standard Deck brass lantern for the U.S. Navy in WWI. Another lantern with an unusual lift was made by the Winfield Manufacturing Company of Warren, Ohio in the 1890s. The hot blast Hurwood Aladdin has the same unusual globe lift as the cold blast model.
Since you've come this far you should see a GIF movie (388k) of the Aladdin lift in action.
