Lift WireNo. 0

The round tube lantern is marked LW (ca. 1885) is 14.0" tall and 5.75" in diameter. The No. 0 (ca. 1887) is 13.5" tall and has square tubes. The LW stands for Lift Wire, a reference to the bent wire on the crown used to raise the globe. Both lanterns were made before Dietz bought S.G.&L. in 1898.
